Designer Lloyd Klein did not disappoint, and again displayed his adroit skills to elegant day and red carpet looks. He understands the essence of the female shape and how to accentuate the best assets. This collection was an exploration in juxtaposition: proportion vs. structure, Big vs. Small, opaque vs. transparent, form hugging vs. flowing. But don’t get lost in my lingo. The fabrics linger sensually around the body.
Tonight, however, he exposed us to a more casual evening Look. Long, cursive gowns, mostly in black, advertised his signature fine tailoring style, complete with unexpected flashes of exposed skin. Often, transparent Tulle was juxtaposed with opaque fabric, lace, and black lacquer, and created an unorthodox dynamic.

Wide, draped skirts were also wedded to tight black lace tops or Bolero jackets that created bold shoulders. Klein continued the theme of the unexpected with deep-plunging, halter-neck style dresses, often with an accentuated waist encircled by a wide black belt that featured a between-the-hips section of a brass-colored metal plate.
