Destination: India Diary. The Prince of Wales Pavillion, Jaipur, Radjastan.
The carvings and architectural details are so refined. I also liked the guards in their typical Radjastani turbans with the long tail.
The Prince of Wales Pavilion was used for state visits, mainly for the visit of the then Prince of Wales, Edward, when he was visiting India, then a dominion of the Empire.
It is now a museum showing artifacts, photos and objects of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
The exit on the other side with 2 carved elephants. Carved marble architectural details.
These carved details look as if it was a lace overlay on a dress.
The guards in their colorful uniforms.
Later we were able to see a turban wrap demonstration. See another post with pictures.
Enjoy!
