My friends and I had an exceptional Sunday afternoon at the Café at Sunnylands Visitor's Center. The afternoon truly was a perfect escape to a special place here in Rancho Mirage. I hadn't come back here for a while. Again, I was awed by the stunning panorama views of the mountains and the rhythms of the gardens with their calm reflecting pools. The golden Barrel Cactus all in rows, the Acacia trees now with their yellow blooms in the Spring time, the long vistas, all was adding to the calming effect on the eye.
The chance to take a walk in the gardens with my husband was so full of surprises. We observed a small humming bird in desert flowers flapping its wings and found a charm.
