Discover the beauty of the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Phoenix, AZ.
Wild Horse Pass Resort by Sheraton, Phoenix, AZ, Touch the Spirit of the Wild Horse Pass Resort. Last Fall, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Phoenix.
A special treat, to nurture my spirit and body, while experiencing some of the gifts of the Pima and Maricopa Indian culture. A long winding drive onto Indian land took me to the main building.
Upon arriving, I stepped into another world. Large Rocks, a waterfall, a winding wooden bridge opened the view at the Lobby, as I looked up, a painted illuminated ceiling caught my attention. Scenes of faces and Indian life, then the eye moves lower, the large curved window wall opens the view to sweeping landscapes, mountains in the distance, a river meandering through the land. Soft Indian music followed me through out the main building.
The Resort, built on the land of the Gila River Indian Community, is just stunning, infused with the spirit ofthe Pima and Maricopa Indian culture. A calm feeling envelops you as you hear the Indian sounds, we are emersed into the imagery, colors, objects and local foods.
The SPA area is a separate building with its own pool. The perfect place to unwind.

Throughout the building, materials and vignettes are lovingly presented to bring nature inside, to honor the elements, water, wood, wind, and fire.
Upon entering, a ceiling with a fresco painting of a flaming desert sun set greeted me.
The SPA building has a winding pool, dark and light elements of wood, water and fire, built in the Pueblo style. As I moved towards the pool, the winding waters presented a cooling contrast to the dark shady interior.
Impressions to celebrate the spirit.

I hope, you will have the opportunity to experience the special flavor of this beautiful location.
Truly a place to nurture and balance your spirit.
Enjoy,
Jasmin
